Shade Lady A Reapers MC Novella edition by Joanna Wylde Romance eBooks
Shade wanted Mandy from the first moment he saw her. She was a waitress and he was intrigued by her. Mandy has had serious issues with all the previous men in her life. From her father to her ex-husband she was either used or left behind without a second thought. Mandy tries a no-strings relationship with Rebel and that turns out to be another mistake. She is upset and a little confused as to the deal that Shade and Rebel reached. Shade acted like it was no big deal but Mandy wasn't buying it. She was right to be leery and Shade realized he had to proceed carefully. Being the national president of the Reapers MC meant he traveled a lot and was rarely in one place for long. Mandy was tethered to her sister and couldn't go anywhere for several reasons. Shade and Mandy agree to continue their one-night stand and not define it. She knows she is feeling more for him than she is willing to admit and Shade realizes what she needs from him. I liked how he went about getting her into the mindset of being ready for what he had to offer. Mandy and her sister's problem with her ex-husband, Randy, was a good story twist. Neither one of the sisters wanted to depend on a man and, in the end, it turned out they didn't have to. Neither one of their men were going to leave them on their own and stepped up in big ways. They didn't do grand gestures for them, just put them first and protected them above all else in a way that spoke volumes. I was confused how Mandy didn't get how much she meant to Shade at that point. His actions and not necessarily his words said it all. Even at the end, he showed her that he was going to give her security and put her happiness first. I really liked that about this book.

Shade Lady A Reapers MC Novella edition by Joanna Wylde Romance eBooks Reviews
I don't even know how to put everything in words. I'm a bit speechless. I should probably take time to process before writing this, but I want this to fully express my mood. I don't think I've ever wanted to be a character so bad before. I'm so jealous of Mandy! That B!!! OK so she's not but she is so lucky. A girl who's that broken, a guy living completely in the black, and a horrible situation surrounding Mandy's family makes for an interesting story. Let's not forget the cop who's strictly living in the white but her might love her sister? So many things making it all a recipe for disaster. And yet you fall for them all. You love each and every one of them. The badass bikers, the bartender, the cop, and the adorable little girls all win your heart and have you just as willing to live in the grey area and support the men living in the black. Miss Wylde has brought me into the biker world like no other authors have. I love MC books but I love them because of Miss Wylde. She took this way of life and made us all want to live it, to experience the perks of living in the black. She doesn't hide the bad like other authors. She puts it all out there and we love those badass bikers all the more. I'm so in love with shade and I didn't think I would be. I loved Horse and I would die for Hunter but I wasn't sure I'd go for the president. Now he's my favorite and he wasn't hearts, flowers, or romance in any way. Yet I am so drawn to his honesty that I adore him above all the others! Miss Wylde has drawn me into the MC world and she did so perfectly. I need so much more of these characters. I'm really hoping to get another story for these two and a story for several more characters!
Another great Reaper's MC Club book, shorter than her normal novels but every bit as good. This was about Shade, National President for Reaper's MC and Mandy a waitress at the pit that from day one of him encountering her decided that he wanted her. What Shade wants Shade gets or so that's his philosophy! She's currently dating another biker from a riding club named Rebel with no strings attached type relationship. Rebel finds out that Shade has a motorcycle for sale and he wants it, makes a deal with Shade where he trades one night of Shade getting Mandy for the $500 he's short and Mandy has no clue that he's done this and due to Rebel's lies thinks she's riding with Shade thinking she's just on his bike because Rebel doesn't have room in his truck and that she will be driving his truck back after he picks up motorcycle. They arrive at Reaper's Clubhouse and then Shade discovers that Mandy never knew about the trade and he realizes she knows nothing about it and although he wants her bad, he doesn't take advantage of her at this time and eventually takes her back home the next day. He gives her space but still pursues her and helps her and her sister out of an issue with Hannah's ex-husband related to planting drugs in their home. Don't want to share too much, it's worth the read and Joanna Wylde is an awesome writer - it's a must read!
OMG Why is this only a novella and not a full length novel?????? It totally reminded me why I loved the Reapers series, and made me want to go back and re-read the whole thing again.
It's going to feel like I am talking in code now, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone... This was the story of Shade, Reapers MC national Prez, and Mandy, waitress at the local bar. He wants her, she's got a boyfriend, plus she is super intimidated by Shade. The boyfriend finally gets out of the picture (truck scene the morning after was EPIC), and she starts this never ending one-night stand with Shade. He says the one-night stand is not over until he buys her breakfast-how cute is he? Six weeks later they're still going strong LOL In the meantime she has drama with her sister, where Shade becomes their savior. And, of course, it has a HEA.
I was so not ready for their story to be over!!! I want to know more!!! I need to know that they lasted forever!!! I want to go ride along with them and watch them like a crazy stalker haha
I saw that a lot of people complained in their reviews about the ending. If you read any other novellas that are in the 1001 Dark Nights series, they all pretty much end the same way. Sort of abrupt and leaving you wanting more. Just thought I'd throw that out there )
